Building a brighter future for Cameroonian coffee farmers.

Our story

Our family has been involved in coffee plantation since 1939. This is when our owner, Daniel’s, grandfather started his first coffee farm.

In the 1960’s, Daniel’s father (Djoumessi) had been working for years for a French company who owned a 140 hectare coffee farm. He decided to quit his job and start his own farm where he applied the techniques learned from his experience and he also helped other small farmers set-up their own coffee farms.

During his entire life, Djoumessi had been fighting against poverty in  rural  Cameroon by supporting local farmers and also encouraging them to send their kids to school. He used to say; “Education is one of the best weapon against poverty”. He was leading by example by sending his own children to school (Daniel).

When Djoumessi passed away in 2012, Daniel decided to continue his actions. He founded a charity called AMSDM (Association Moh Soh Djoumessi Mathias) which aims to promote education and reduce poverty in the rural area.

Every year Daniel provides educational scholarships to the best students in his local community back home. He also supports local hospitals by providing medical equipment's whenever possible and he is working with the community to setup different projects that could help fight poverty in the rural area.

Fast forward to 2017, Daniel started renewing coffee trees in the farms he inherited from his father and at the same time, supported local farmers by providing them with what they need to develop their own small farms. This includes new coffee trees, organic fertilisers, tools and more. In return, he guarantees a fair price for the production.

Our name, Amero, is directly derived from the word Cameroon because we are proud of our roots and the people behind our amazing product.

Grown with care

We produce the highest quality, 100% Arabica, organic coffee from our own farms in rural Cameroon.

We strive to support farmers with fair pay, reduce poverty in Cameroon and maintain the best quality coffee by cutting out the middle men.

We also work with local research agencies who help us to evolve our coffee plantations to be more resistant to local diseases and more environmentally friendly.

Investing us means investing in better futures for coffee farmers.

Amero Process
